Already the twelve 2021 students (who have convinced me to do the Challenge again with them this year!) have been challenged and changed, and we've only been running for a few weeks.
With their help I hope to keep these posts coming over the year, for your enjoyment and to keep a record of the challenges and great moments that are ahead of us.
To kick off, here is my 1st passion project blog from 2020. The Passion Project element of WPC is trying new things, and learning new skills. Last year I finally decided to learn to ride a bike. This became my challenge and my passion project.... and turned into quite an adventure.
You may find out more of my story over the year...
I will explain more about what WPC is in following blogs, but for now you may like to check out the official Facebook page here.
Here is my Challenge Hub entry from 27 June, 2020:
Buying my first bike
Today was a memorable day. The 30 minutes of trying out two bikes in an underground carpark was a lot of fun. I hadn't realised I would actually end up buying a bike today, but the one I ended up purchasing ticked every box in the description of what I wanted.
When I jumped on I rode with confidence right from the start. I figured if a girl who has ridden a bike only a handful of times in her life can feel that comfortable and confident, then it was worth buying.
Unfortunately for me the rain set in that afternoon, so I haven't yet been able to use it. Ready for this challenge...
